Nairobi, Kenya -- Cherie Enns
Eminus Academy is proud to partner with Mark Fuhrmann, founder of the Piece Prize initiative which seeks to promote peace in the world. Starting April 1, Mark will kayak from Oslo, Norway to Athens, Greece over the course of several weeks, visiting many cities which lie along the way. His mission, to disseminate the idea of peace to the people around him and to honour those who are actively trying to make a difference in their local communities. His more than 5000 kilometre journey will be one of reciprocal learning, the sharing of ideas and concepts of peace, the building of a network of people all united to bring the concept to the public. On his journey, he will engage with local youth and students at various schools, bridging the gap between those who know about peace and those who are in the general public. In doing so, Mark will be adding more pieces to the puzzle that is peace, bringing the puzzle ever closer to completion. We are each of us capable of impacting peace in our world, whether by being kind to strangers, or by volunteering at non-profits--all of our actions make a difference. Mark's historic journey is one of the most daring initiatives to promote kindness and social responsibility in the world. However, geography and sheer distance limits his trip to Europe, so we want to help. In partnership with the Piece Prize, Eminus Academy will offer a free course to everyone who wishes to participate, Paddle for Peace: an Introduction to Human Rights. Upon the completion of the course, you will be warded a complimentary Certificate of Completion recognizing your efforts spent learning about the complexities of human rights. We hope that you choose to be part of Mark's journey by joining us on Eliademy. Comments are closed.
